Today was like Christmas!
Not only because I’m sending three blog posts today. (Hey, the one from Tues/Weds was started earlier in the week, promise!)
But because I went to Fleet Feet and did a little (lot of) shopping!
Come to find out, my shoes – that I started wearing in February – are already shot. I hoped to have maybe another month in them, but I inspected the soles myself. They are done.
I did a little calculation and my newest sports bras were about a hear and a half – maybe 2 years – old.
I am out of NUUN and my favorite Cherry Cola Honey Stinger Chews.
Two 12 ounce water bottles on my belt is not going to be enough to train with.
So… to the Fleet Feet I went.
$500 later… (ugh… )
(Sports bras not pictured )
And I might have thrown a few additional things in there… the stretch out strap, The Lola Papers book…
But check out those shoes! They look fast! I got a different style of Mizunos, the Wave Elixir. I’ve been running in Inspires for about 2 years now. I will definitely be reporting in on these. I am nervous to make the change, but I got fit by one of their Fit Professionals and this pair was my #1 match. I tried a few other brands and just didn’t care for them as much. I do think the Elixirs are slightly less cushiony than my Inspires…we’ll see. I am also going to start wearing arch support inserts again – Super Feet is the brand I have. I was given a very convincing bio-mechanical explanation as to why these are good for the longer distances.
Yay new running stuff!!
